Will need to have the codes read as Zain says. hello again! After the write, sucefully!! , and erased all DTC's, still have the same errors (with ECU connected to EGR) and the car still in limp mode!: P1412 - EGR Valve Frozen. P0490 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit High. P042F - EGR Control Stuck Closed. Strictly it is not needed to update the software when there are no problems. In most cases the car will run fine with the old software. Nevertheless in my opinion a firmware upgrade can bring some improvements which will affect the driveability in a positive way. 2. I have this 1.6 TDCI EDC16C34 that come to me from other garage with a strange fuel pressure issue. on the car they replaced: fuel filter FP regulator FP sensor I also replaced FP sensor wiring just rule out a possible wiring issue. doing some tests I found that on cold engine the FP vs rpm is ok but as soon as the engine warm up the FP is all over the place. I bought Ford Focus Mk2 1.6 TDCI 109PS 2009y car. It runs into limp mode very often and 2 failure codes are thrown: P2002, P0299. I tried to run static DPF regeneration, but it didn't help. I started to read related topics and found out that my DPF differential pressure sensor is disconnected from ECU as can be seen on the photo below. Focus instrument cluster fault I've a focus estate 1.8 TDCI (03 plate) just clocked up 50000 miles last week. It went in yesterday (15/10/07) to a ford service centre, to sort out why the rev counter, digi display etc, have an intermittant fault. It's been diagnosed as a problem with the instrument cluster, at a cost of approx £350. 1 Name: alan Ford Model: focus 1.6tdci Ford Year: 2008 UK/Ireland Location: Berkshire Posted June 21, 2013 I am new to forum. I am getting an odd feeling in the car always occuring about the same point on my commute. when i then pull up to junctions the engine stutters a little. We were sent this ECU for a 2006 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI from a garage in Leeds, West Yorkshire, regarding issues with intermittent starting and sometimes no connection with the ECU via diagnostic equipment. After completing a full ECU Test, we were able to advise them that the unit was faulty and could be repaired. fuel rail relieve valve (pressure regulator) faulty. either you are getting the wrong reading from the sensor and the ECU is shutting down. or. the pressure regulator is not maintaining the correct pressure. you need to have a manual fuel pressure gauge, or just swap out the sensor as they are not expensive.
